Merry Christmas
Well it’s been the strangest year the band has ever experienced, not one concert or performance carried out all year thanks to the pandemic. However, the band has managed to keep things going by producing several online productions and we’ve tried to keep in touch with each other by holding weekly zoom meetings/quiz nights on Thursday’s which would normally be our rehearsal nights. With the current government restrictions in place we have unfortunately been unable to meet to rehearse since March, we have found ourselves cancelling or postponing all of our engagements/booking this year up to now. Everyone is frustrated with the current situation and nobody expected the restrictions to go on this long. We would just like to assure our followers that as soon as it’s declared safe for us to be back together we will be, stronger than ever.

The Band is all back safe and sound from our trip to Ypres over the Remembrance period. We were extremely humbled by the occasion but at the same time immensely proud to have the opportunity to perform at such an event. The band was present in London on Sunday and took part in the annual Firefighters Memorial Parade around St Paul’s Cathedral area of the capital. This year LFRCB was the lead band but we had help from our friends from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Ceremonial Unit, The West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service Band and The Band of The West Midlands Fire Service.
